Our goals with mounting Deaf theatre include visions of original work, adaptations, dance, comedy, and community-based productions. We are exploring our artistic voice and how to reflect to our local and nationwide audiences all that New England has to offer.
As the industry develops, how can we work together better? How can we empower each other and uplift our contributions towards success? CDT explores resources to strengthen the symbiosis between other Deaf theatre organizations and hearing-led organizations as well.

The National Theatre of the Deaf ran the Theatre Immersion Program for 6 years, hosting sessions at American School for the Deaf and virtually. In 2021, Connecticut Deaf Theatre absorbed TIP and had to put the program on hiatus and plans to revive it in coming years.
